'Unplugged' Birmingham Summer Ceremony
The Envision Summer Ceremony is Coming.... Wednesday 2nd July 2008 4pm - 7.30pm.

Come along to collect your Envision Certificates, goodie bags, enjoy live music, acts, DJ's, Food and celebrate the end of the Envision programme with other Birmingham Envision teams. The Ceremony serves as a celebration of student achievements but also demonstrates Birmingham’s youth commitment to energy efficiency and tackling global warming. Hope the exams have gone well and looking forward to seeing you at the event!.

Envision Youth Debate
As you may know Envision was set up to challenge the stereotype that young people are apathetic and do not care about the world around them. On the 19th June 2008, 22 students from Envision London got together at the Houses of Parliament for a youth debate with the Equaities and Human Rights Commission to voice their opinions on the rights and opinions of young people. This event was their chance to feed into an organisation, The Equalities and Humans Rights Commission, that is trying to stop the negative portrayal of young people by creating a paper to submit to the government.

Traditionally we have offered the students completing the Envision programme each year the opportunity to go on a Young Envisionaries Leadership Award (YELA) programme with the Wilderness Foundation www.wildernessfoundation.org.uk but, due to lack of funds we did not think that we would be able to offer this fantastic opportunity this year.

Birmingham Climate Change Festival 2008
Birmingham will help lead a low-carbon revolution by hosting the UK’s first climate change festival.
The Climate Change Festival takes place from Saturday 31 May – Sunday 8 June 2008 in Birmingham. The nine day festival features exhibitions, events, street theatre, art and fun for everyone.

The Global is Local
Over 90 young people from Envision schools from across Birmingham attended the final cross-team event on Wednesday 20th February 2008.

The Global is Local Envision Assembly was designed to raise their awareness about pressing world issues such as poverty, third world debt, climate change, children rights, HIV/AIDS and nuclear disarmament.
